Babes With Blades Theatre Company - The Double

Runs until September 24 (Thur-Sat), 2011 Babes With Blades Theatre Company
Tickets
Babes With Blades Theatre Company - It's a romantic, screw-ball comedy developed specifically for and with The Babes! The Double is set in the 1940's and follows Minnie, an actor/stage combatant who is cast in a Broadway production of Cyrano de Bergerac alongside a colorful group of showbiz personalities. The Double has twists, turns, mistaken intentions. The story weaves together multiple love stories that play with gender and sexual identity while focusing on two sisters’ lives through the lens of the “showbiz” and societal strictures of the 1940s. The female characters who are relegated to standard roles become more powerful as they begin to realize who they are, and who they really love. In between light-hearted antics, The Double, offers abundant period swashbuckling.
The cast includes Shaun Baer, Dan Foss, Lisa Herceg*, Gillian N. Humiston*, Brendan Hutt, Mark Pracht and Kathrynne Wolf.* In addition, Kimberly Logan returns for her second production with BWB after appearing as Ismene in 2010's The Last Daughter of Oedipus.
Production staff includes Leigh Barrett* (Director/BWB Technical Coordinator), Libby Beyreis* (Violence Designer), Sarah Burnham (Scenic Designer), Alison Dornheggen* (Dance Choreography), Jesse Gaffney (Props Designer), Amy E. Harmon*(Producer/BWB Managing Director), Barb Lhota* (Playwright) Lindsey Lyddan (Lighting Designer), Kjerstine McHugh* (Assistant Director/Stage Manager), Jennifer L.
